Clean hotel, I liked efficient staff. My room was well-kept with a private bathroom. Everything was nice, nevertheless a few employees were not very friendly. Comfy location close enough to the train station shopping and restaurants, and Riomaggiore, I felt safe. Local fast food option L'angolo della Focaccia was 5 minutes walk away.

the location was perfect. right above the beach with a view of the beautiful town. most rooms have balcony's with a view of the bay.
our bathroom smelled so badly, like a sewer, that we had to close the door so the rest of our room didn't smell. it didn't appear to be dirty, but the stench was awful. also, we met three staff that worked the front desk. the lady in the late afternoon and gentleman in the evening were wonderful and helpful. the lady on duty when we arrived at 1pm was on her cellphone. she didn't get off her cellphone and was much more interested in her phone call then helping us with check-in. she did not get off the call to help us and dismissed us as if we were annoying flies.

Very clean and modern rooms. Well appointed and we had an beautiful view of the harbour.
Booked.net states that this hotel has an outdoor pool and is on the beack. This is not strictly true as it is not a beach but a harbour and you have to pay to use the sunbeds. The swimming pool is not connected to the hotel although only 20m away and a full day use of pool/changing booth and sunbed costs 24 euros a day.

The breakfast was good, plenty of variety. Yoghurt, cereal, bread, boiled eggs, coffee and tea etc. The location is good, close to town and restaurants etc. Clean room.
Bed was hard, and it was only 2 single beds pushed together when we asked for a double. The constant slamming of the front door at night and early morning was so annoying!

I recently stayed at Hotel Elena for a short vacation. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel welcomed from the moment I arrived. The room had breathtaking views of the sea and the breakfast spread was impressive with a variety of options beyond the usual sweet treats found in Italian hotels. The hotel's private beach and free parking were convenient amenities that added to the overall positive experience. The room itself was well-equipped with a comfortable bed, ample storage space, and modern facilities such as a full-size mirror and a hairdryer. it was everything I needed for a pleasant stay.
Totally recommend this hotel.

Peaceful, beautiful town on the turquoise Ligurian Sea--like paradise. Lovely small hotel with great balcony overlooking the town, hills and bay. Lots of great take-out food to eat on our balcony. Enjoyed the 3 sets of bells from different towers. Less expensive than Portofino, and nicer. Loved it here.
Staff spoke only a little English, but we managed.
